THE PUMA LIFT SHOE MEDIA PARTY @ ZOUK, 17/04/09!

My first time at Zouk! Yes, you are hearing correctly! This party is a launch party for the new Puma shoe called "L.I.F.T". The highlight of the shoe is that it weight only 173 grams, half the weight of the normal usual sport shoe. Though it is not a performance shoe, it is great for gym wear and daily casual wear. Celebrities that attended are David Gan & Georgia.

DAY AT THE MUSEUM ....

I am in the mood today to visit a very ancient historic modern place- the Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM). I was very happy the moment I stepped foot into the place, I quickly got into the queue to get a ticket in- cost S$8. Starting 13Mar Fri, Singapore will be the first S.E.A. country to host this prestigious historic display items showcasing Emperor Kangxi and the treasures from the Forbidden City of China. It will be a moment of experiencing the life of a man that had been halt one of the greatest rulers of the great empire of China.

A brief understanding about Emperor Kangxi:

- Reign from 1662-1722, unprecedented 61 good years

- Qing Dynasty

- Became emperor at the age of eight

- Took over the reigns of power at 14

- Ruled over multi-ethnic empire that included Han Chinese, Manchus and Mongols

- His grandmother was named Xiaozhuang Wen

- Apart from being a just and benevolent ruler, Kangxi was also known for his military prowess. He was the only Qing emperor to have personally led his troops in battle. His Manchu heritage made him an excellent rider, archer and huntsman.

- As patron of the arts, he promoted the production of exquisite onjects of art in the imperial workshops of the Forbidden City

This is a potrait of Emperor Kangxi, also known as 'Aixinjueluo Xuanye'

This is his glamoerous golden robe. I took a close look and was very surprised how well it was maintained and the workmanship of every thread that went into the making of the robe was exqusitely hand sewed.

This is a wine cup. I guessed it must be at least 200ml. Bigger than those shown on TVB show.

According to the description, this page talked about the life of a women in the 18th century. Parents made marriage decision of who their daughter was to married to. I was looking at one of the pictoric drawing of the booklet and there was one woman, her mother-in-law was sickly and she cut her finger off and used the blood of that finger to mix into a bowl of medicine in order for her mother-in-law to get well. Well, I don't know if that will really heal the mother-in-law, but I do know which daughter-in-law will sacrificed to that extend for their mother-in-law?

Isn't it colourful? Doesn't it looked modern and that it is something we can buy off the shelves at Daiso? The 18th century porcelain bowls were so much nicer than the one we have today! It goes to show how Kangxi was a man that appreciate arts and colours. I pressed my face against the display and realized how fine and defined all the brush strokes are!

All these antique plates and vases could easily reached S$millions of dollars. All the vases and bowls of the 18th century seems to have drawing of pavillion park where a scholar will be sitting there, glacing at the beautiful flowers and trees while making poems.

This is one of the broken pieces of a vase I guess. The rest of the broken pieces are also being showcased but it is still incomplete. Not sure where the rest of the broken pieces are now.

This was one of the tomb guardian of the Tang dynasty. I read that this tomb guardian was supposed to hold a wolden stick as a weapon in his hands but somehow the weapon was destroyed hence he had been using powers from his eye instead. See below image for description.

Once entering the main hall, I was not allowed to take any photos. One security was following and spying on me behind my back like I am going to take any photos.... Anyway, I was greeted by a majestic portrait of Kangxi. He looked like an average Chinese man but his eyes gave people a sense of his determination, wisdom and charisma.

Turning left to the hall, I saw the golden robe of Kamgxi where he wore to his court sessions. And there was a folded imperial chair! Can you imagine they have folded chairs at that time!!!! It was totally jaw-dropping. It was made from a precious wood.

It read that Kangxi's first wife married to him when she was 13, a few months younger than Kangxi. Initally they have no love but it said that they managed to feelings for each other shortly after. She gave birth to two sons and died on the birth of the second son, leaving Kangxi devasted. Hence, the second wife was named the Empress at the age of 25!!! Can you imagine merely 25 years old, you have the world under your feet, what a responsibility! But the second Empress passed away a few months after she was up the throne. How tragic.

Next I saw something really interesting- the imperial edict! I only saw it in those TVB drama show when the imperial edict will be passed down and everyone that was in the place was to kneel down immediately as a shown of respect. The imperial edict represented the Emperor himself. Anyone who show disrespect to the imperial edict is akin to showing disrespect to the Emperor. But it wasn't as small as those shown in the show, it was actually almost 1m in height and 2m in width, all the words were handwritten onto the edict itself.

The imperial exams questions!!! Well, I read a few paragraph but I am not sure what the questions are asking though.... The imperial exams were meant to pick up talents to work in the imperial courthouse. After the exams, the emperor will have in his hand, a list of who was the first runner up, etc and from the list, he will picked people to work for him.

There was also this really looooong portrait that show the daily life of the chinese people, the people drawn was really small but accurate, not a hair stroke was missed!- I suppose it to be at least 5m long but they only showcased a portion of it due to space restriction.

There was also a map of Beijing, hand drawn too. It said that as the emperor was the heart of the China, hence his palace was also located at the centre of Beijing. Even the trees on the map were painted nicely in green! I was surprised at the effort the painter put in.

As I was about to exit the gallery, there was a portrait of Kangxi in his fifties, showing radiant on his face, with energy and strength. But when Kangxi reached his sixties, he was totally worn out due to the politics that arised from his decision of the heir that will take over the throne. Poor man, even to these days, men and women are still fighting over inheritance and my sister read to me yesterday that a man in China even digged out his grandfather tomb ash and demanded money from his dad! How absurd has the world become.

To pen off, it was a excursion that I enjoyed. All the things and objects that I saw in the museum can be closely related to my times now. How real and tangible it felt.

IT'S BLOGGING TIME!

Well guess it's about time that I start my first blogging of the NEW YEAR! I have spent my countdown in Seoul this year with a bunch of Singaporean. 2008 has been a good year for me. Leaving a old job for a new one, another good and fulfilling year with bee san, having more outings with mygood friends from kss and the list goes on. UPDATES ABOUT MYSELF!

Yup, I haven't been blogging. Have been busy at work during working hours thus have been lefting out my blog. Normally, I will blog during my lunch time or after work, but recently after taking up a few new accounts, I need to go out for meetings throughout the day. But yes, I find dignity in my work so it was enjoyable for me.

I was invited for a Puma party yesterday. They are celebrating their 60th Anniversary at The Butter Factory located at the Robertson Quay. Upon reaching, we are to go to the reception to mark our attendance. Each one of us was given a birthday card for us to pen down things we want to do before we turn 60. I wrote down 2 generic ones (how can write down the real one when there are reporters behind me?!), anyway I wrote 1) To have a super big walk-in wardrobe, 2) To be wiser & smarter. Whoever got the msot well-written note will be entitled to a special gift at the end of the party.

As this is an media event, fashion reporters from various newsapers & magazines were also at the party. Among the celebrities who attended are Thomas Chan, Benedict & 2 other Mediacorp artises whom I dunno the names.

CLUB 21 SALE!

SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE! SALE!

It's the sale almost everyone have been waiting for. This year the sale is located at 1 Republic Boulevard. I went during lunch time today and when I got off the cab, there it was people with hands full of their 'achievement' of the day and were literally 'grabbing' for the cab.

As I went for the sale without lunch, I don't really have the mood to shop but well it's shopping how can I resist. Club 21 has a lot of brand under its wing i.e. MaxMara, Armani Exchange, D&G, DKNY, Mulberry, Paul Smith, CK, Emporio Armani, etc. Its where all the beauty gather. You can imagine why its THE sale people are waiting for. Men especially seem to be pretty tied up with the sale. I saw how these men prepared for the sale, they brought their own measuring tape!! Can u imagine how looooong they waited for this sale?! Club 21 also got their own chartered bus designed specially for this sale. Seem like everyone come prepared. Average spending as I monitored while standing beside the cashiers was S$500! One shirt cost around $30-$80. A men shirt cost about $100 for a CK & DKNY. Leather jacket is definitely a steal- $100!

At the end of the sale, I managed to get myself a decent pair of Armani Exchange white pants for only $40, that's like 80% off the shelf, usual price $250. Definitely worth the price! I love the design at the back of the jeans. As there was no trying and exchanging, I got my waist measured to ensure that I could fit into the jeans. The bottom of the jeans has got a mini zip, it double up as skinny jeans effect!

Anyway, the sale is from 6-9 Nov, 10am-8pm.

BIRTHDAY LOVE GIFT FROM BEE!

On a normal average day, bee is already very pampering to me. On a special day like my birthday, he bought me 3 BAGS! I almost fainted when I saw him came back with hand full of bags (See below).

He got me the 3 bags (2 Coach & 1 Loewe) from Taiwan while he was there for business trip. I can really imagine him going inside the store, handpick them carefully and visualizing me carrying it. The Coach bag that he got for me is a limited edition and the Loewe bag (Pockets Collection) is hardly seen in Singapore and apparently Singapore do not sell this collection when we went over to the branch to check.

JUST FLEW BACK FROM HK!

Yes I went HK once again! Went shopping, eating & just having fun's' in life! This time I travelled on Business Class to HK. It was really an unforgettable experience. I entered the gantry for the first check point and there was no queue, so everything was really fast. After walking for awhile, we went to the Krisflyer Lounge while waiting for the boarding time. The lounge was really spacious! There are lots of magazines & newspapers for selection and most excitedly was that there were lots of food for selection and it's all complimentary for all Business Class travelers. I drank orange juice & watercress soup, ate peanuts and chips. The seats are very comfortable. I realized 70% of the Business Class travelers in the lounge were the caucasians, they seems to be pretty well-off huh.

It's boarding time now. There was a shorter route for biz class so we don't need to queue to enter the plane. We got to our seats and I was impressed by the spacious seat! Once seated, I am asked what drink I wanted. Before the plane took off, I was asked again what drink I wanted after the plane took off. Then I was given some nuts to nibble. The pillow is made of feathers and silk covering- super comfortable. I wore the slipper in the plane and put on the blanket. Food was served shortly. I ordered Seared Salmon as my dinner choice. The fish was really fresh! After dinner, I was asked what deserts I wanted then what fruits I'd like to have. The whole flight journey was really worth the money. Eating & drinking fine food. I watched 'Get Smart' on the plane. Sad to say, the show really falls beyond my expectation.

The second day, we met up with our ex-colleague in Shenzhen- Gao Fan! He was really a nice man. Knew him for 1year+ when I was at Synet still. He came back to Shenzhen to work in this really big organization. We went for 1hr foot massage and I fell asleep the moment I sat on the chair. 1hr of massage only cost RMB30=SGD6!!! If I stay there, I will surely go every alternate day. He treated us dinner at Ding Tai Fung & shared with us all the things that are going on in Shenzhen. Really hope to catch up with him again.

Returning to HK, I started my shopping spree. I bought lots of shirts, working top and jeans. Oh I also went to Asia 1st True Religion flagship store at Central. I got this pair of jeans at HKD3,900=SGD$700. Heart pain but worth it la cause I will wear it very frequently and the jeans material is really good. I bought this True Religion 'Gina Super T' Dark Drifter which is the new arrival in the store. Specs: True Religion's 5 pocket lowrise 'Gina Super T' boot cut in our stretch denim made of 99% cotton and 1% elastin. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WITH MY TEAM- 24TH OCTOBER, FRIDAY

My team treated me to dim sum @ Zhou restaurant at Far East Square. My team are the nicest people. They will always help me and have the patience in the world to teach me things if I am unsure. We went Zhou restaurant and ordered alot of food. And we have a great time eating and chatting. I took my camera with me and little did I know that are so spontaneous when it comes to photo-taking. Very good!

RANDOM BLOGGING

Haven't been blogging for weeks... Well have been busy at work these days... Many people have asked me what is my job about. Hmmm well, my designation is Media Planner. In professional terms, a Media Planner is someone who assist their client in achieving business objectives through their advertising budgets by recommending the best possible use of various media platforms available to advertisers. Daily roles include analyzing target audiences, keeping abreast of media developments in Singapore & worldwide, reading market trends (there are lotsa of research tools that I need to use everyday for work?!) and understanding the motivation of consumers (which also cover knowing your competitors in the same industry). Media Planner can also be known as communications planner, brand planner or a strategist. In lame man term, a Media Planner is someone who invest their client's money to achieve advertising goals.

As many knows, I studied and graduated with a Diploma in Biomedical Sciences. So my direct career path would be a pharmacist or a lab assistant. Seriously, I have considered taking these 2 direct career path but I know it will not be a career I like and have passion in. So putting down all my concerns, I daringly took my first advertising job as a Media Executive after being a admin assistant for 1.5yrs. The days at my 1st advertising job were really not easy. There were good & bad experiences. There were times you'd cry over your job too. But I realized I found satisfaction whenever I see my client happy with my recommendation and comes back again. Perhaps this is something called passion.

After my 1.5yrs at my 1st advertising job, I got a really good offer for my second/current job. I loved my company, colleagues & job.

To those out there who do not know what you want for your long-term career, I will advice you to be courageous to try anything to come into your mind. You will never know which one will be your destined job.

My Small Factory Makeover!

As all of you can see, I have changed my blog template. Well as my previous blog template have been giving me some HTML problems causing my profile on the right hand to be relocated by itself to the bottom of the page and so I have to change it.

Looking for a new template is so .. not easy. It's worse than thinking what to eat for lunch or what to wear to work. Well at the moment, I will have to make do with this template while I find a better one or knows how to design one by myself...

I FINALLY GOT MY PINK IC - 12 OCTOBER 2008, SUNDAY!

I am a completely Singaporean now! I felt relieved after all the hours of quene and waiting at the different embassy in the past months.

I am to report to Yew Tee CC at 12 noon for the ceremony. As it is a solomn event, males were asked to wear shirts & tie while the ladies to wear smart casual. I am impressed by the staffs there as some males came without their ties and the staffs have got a box of ties in their hands that comes in different colors to match their shirt! There I was slept at 5.30am morning, struggled to wake up for the ceremony at 11am. After putting some light makeup, I took a cab to Yew Tee and it cost me $6. Upon reaching there, I was early by 15 minutes before the registration began. So I took some photos of the surrounding. I looked weird as I attended the ceremony alone and I kept taking photos here and there.

10 october 2008 (My early birthday celebration - feat. my secondary school friends)

Having known each other for 10 years le! Wow that was really long! Keeping a good relationship is really important. Only when you put in effort to a relationship, will then it be stronger and stable. You can imagine the efforts put in by every single one of us to grow our 10 years long friendship. I still remember the days whereby we do all sorts of funny things in our secondary school days. From being student leaders of the toilet (yea, you got that right! it's true!) to being called to the principal office as the principal thought we were involved in a toilet fight! faint! Why was everything revolving around toilet??!

They bought a cake for me from 4 Seasons. We settled at Mos Burger to eat the cake and to sing bdae song. In order to let outsiders perceived that we were customers of Mos Burger, we took cups that drinks were finished by the previous customers to smoke through.

Elaine seems to be 'drunk' in her lame jokes on Friday. She even used this Mos Burger cup to sing song?!

My Birthday present designed by Elaine. She is really good at designing personalized gifts! I really appreciate all the efforts she puts into this gift! My house have got several personalized gifts made by Elaine over the years...

We tried going Leisure Park @ Kallang for dinner, who knows the Q was horrendous! One simple noodles that doesn't even look delicious have got 8+ people queuing! In the end, we all have to retreat to another nearby KFC to eat within 25mins!

I just realized on 2nd day I didn't took much photos as I am trying to conserve the remaining of the camera battery life for the actual race on Sunday. Yoo-hoo! I have attended the F1 in Singapore! It was a breathtaking experience for me.

Friday 26 Sept
I took the train from Raffles Place to City Hall station. The whole station was filled with humans! There were many police in patrol to maintain order. I finally arrived at the bay grandstand at about 7pm. Surprisely the entrance is not jammed pack! I am so so glad! We bought Ding Tai Fung to eat for dinner! Guess how much does a packet of fried rice + a plum juice cost - S$10!! And it tastes horrible!

GATHERING WITH MY OLD FRIENDS!

I have just reached home. Today I went out with Elaine & Joan to Bugis. They are my best of my friends and we all have known each other for 10years! That's very long! We have alot of beautiful memories together and will always talk about them whenever we meet up and will never grow tired of them. After pondering on where to eat for awhile, we decided to go for our usual steamboat! Ha-ha! It's the 3 of us again. We talked about our lives, our love life, our work life, our family life, etc. I love being around Elaine since secondary school days. She is a very cheerful person. She will always bring joy & laughter to all of us wherever we are. Although there are times whereby we joked about her, but to all of us, deep in our heart, we all cared the most for her and cherished her friendship alot. I like talking to Joan too as she is a very truthful person. She is the one that will never be 'fakey' and pretentious- hard to find leh.

FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE GRAND PIX

This weekend from 26-28 Sept will be the arrival of the long awaited F1 Night Race. It is the first ever night race in the history of Formula 1. I will also be attending this race for all 3 nights. I have even thought of what to wear already. As Puma is one of the sponser for the Ferrari team, I managed to get hold of one of the Ferrari Puma top to wear on the actual race day itself to hype up the event.. well for myself! I promised bee that I will dedicate one write-up for Skidrow. SO let's rock!!

Who:
Skidrow, an American Heavy Metal Band formed in 1986 (hmm I didn't know my bee likes heavy metal since once upon a time.. haha)

Members:
Matt Fallon- Lead vocalist, Dave Sabo & Steve Brotherton- Lead and rhythm guitar and Rachel Bolan- Bass. Well apparently in 2008, they have just released their new EP with NEW members included. Hopefully it will still live up to to its name!

Mushroom Pot

Today I went to eat Mushroom pot with bee and my bro. Mushroom pot is my fave steamboat place. The wild mushroom soup base is extremely good! It's like once you put the spoon of soup into your mouth, your senses are immediately rejuvenated. The soup is extremely nourishing especially for people like me that work hard during the busy weekdays (I got work hard one k?!). I have a special likings for mushrooms! I like to buy a can of mushroom and cooked together with Campbell Mushroom soup. Hee. So I am super contented when I can savored myself to a whole pot of mushoom!

My bro is Primary 6 this year taking his PSLE so that makes him 12 years old. He used to have a christian name called 'Scooby', which adds up to Scooby Doo... Wahahhha. It's ticklish when I think of it now! He is super 'aunty' and super naggy! Sometimes it has become very annoying & irritating to take him out. He made me upset when I took him out today. Being the youngest & only son in my 'DOO' family, it has become a natural thing that he gets what he wants most of the time. When we went out, he too, insisted on doing things that he like and when you are doing things that he do not like, he will complain till the cow goes home.... And the story continues. I think what bee said is correct. I should not be stern with him on one end, and try to pacify him on the other end. That will definitely spoilt him and will give him a lousy character! I guess educating a child is not an easy task. But I understand patience is defenitely needed in order to mould a person. It does takes a lot out of me to be patience. I used to be very short-tempered and stubborn. People changed me. So I guess, influence from your surrounding friends does matter. I do want to be a good sister and lead by example to the best that I can. Let's JIA YOU!

KELONG WEEK

It's Kelong a.k.a Fishing week on 13th-14th Sept. I am all excited for this fishing trip ever since Tioman. I find that fishing is really exciting. You never know when you will catch a fish or maybe fishes. Who knows? I was sunburned on my left arm as I was wearing a dented straw hat which gives me little coverage. Poor me got to suffer the burned now... We have got 6 people for this Kelong trip in Malaysia. We drove up in 2 cars separately. The road up was really relaxing. The wind blows your hair and brushes through your skin. We passed by many tall palm trees and bloated fat clouds... haha.

And on the way, we are listening to Skidrow album and rock our way to Tanjong Leman ferry terminal where we have to take a 25mins boat ride.

BEE & I GOT OUR VERY OWN CAMERA!

And that's Olympus Stylus 1200. Here how it looks like:

We have been borrowing camera for our trips ever since I spoilt bee's camera last year at Rain's concert. So I am really happy to have a camera of our own.

This Olympus 1200 packs its features into an all-weather metal body that can handle rain, sleet and snow (well I know there is no snow in Spore?!!).

This camera has got a very interesting feature called "smile mode". The "smile" mode comes in handy when you deal with grouchy people. When the camera detects a fleeting smile in shooting standby mode, it quickly takes three frames in high-speed sequential shooting automatically (or you can do it manually). While this mode is selected, the self-timer blinks. People's smiles vary, of course, and the camera will not always be able to detect it.

I like the black & white strips sticker one. Looks fashionable. Imagine me wearing a white t-shirt with a pair of jeans and I hang this black & white strips camera around my neck - it's a totally nice combination! Oh I also like the casing! Dunno if I can buy in in Singapore?! Someone once said: 'A picture says a thousand words', that will save me the typing time. Heehee!! Nowadays, camera has become a fashion accessory that has somewhat become indispensable in this modern society. We're going kelong this weekend, I will take many photos with it! Yippee! =P

For once this year, I am terribly upset. Someone had stolen my True Religion limited edition jeans that I bought in Tokyo last Oct. It've been my favorite jeans since then and it cost a fortune. I don't know what to say.

CHIROPRACTIC part II

Well as mentioned, I went for my 1st chiropractic treatment yesterday. I was asked to lie down and put my body into a certian position. The doctor then 'cracked' my bones like a Thai massager. Initally I was really scared, but it was not as pain as it seems. After the 'bone-cracking' treatment, my stiff shoulder and neck are actually relieved for the rest of the day, though my lower back aches a little.

I am impressed but the first treatment result. But however, when I thought I only need to go for 4-5 treatments, I was actually advised to go for a 1-year treatment plan?! That was beyond my expectation. For the 1st 3 months of the treatment plan, I am required to go 3 times/week. Each treatment is about 10mins and cost $80.25 (after GST). After which, I will need to go 2 times/week then once a week. In conclusion, all calculates to about $2400 for a package of 3 months and $4200 for 1 year. It was so much beyond the cost I expected! Haiz... Well, after discussion with bee-san, I have decided to seek a second opinion while keeping my option open for Chiropractic First Clinic. The doctors and the environment are really nice and friendly. It is a place whereby you won't feel nervous or fear when entering as there are old classic music in clinic. So in the meanwhile, while seeking for a 2nd opinion, I will do my best to be extra conscious in my sitting & sleeping posture, PC must be at eye-level so that it won't strained my neck, try to go for swimming and sleep more (that shouldn't be much of an issue to me).

PENCIL SKIRT

Yesterday I went shopping @ Far East Plaza with my sister. Meeting up was especially hard when my phone ran out of batt. I even went up to the security guard to borrow phone and was being directed to a coin phone. Thank god for 10cents coin! She finally treated me to dinner! It was a really tender chicken rice. I wanted to buy some office wear since well now I am working at Tanjong Pagar. A place whereby you have to even queue to take the escalator at the MRT station.

I decided to try out some pencil skirts. Here's how it looks like:

CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropratic. This was my first time seeing this word yesterday. Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their hypothesized effects on the nervous system and general health, with special emphasis on the spine.

I have been having this stiff shoulder thingy on me for the past 10years and recently it got really bad! Out of desperation, I decided to pick up all the courage that I can to visit this Chiropratic First Clinic http://www.chiropractic-first.org/. What they do is basically using non-invasive method whereby no surgery and drugs are involved to correct the problem that I am facing.

On my first visit there, I was expecting a clinic full of medicine smell and grey haired doctors. To my surprise, I was welcomed by the oldies music played out from the clinic and I was immediately relaxed. I was asked to fill up a personal medical history form consisting of 4 pages which will really allow the doctor to understand my condition clearly. The nurse helped me measure my weight & height and took photo of the 4-sides of me (well, this was to help determine my bone shape contouring my body). I was then asked to see one of the doctor there who patiently explained to me how our spine will affect and causes some of the needless condition. He also showed me the spine dummy and explained to me, also to make sure I understand how chiropractic works for me. Treatment can only commerced after the xray of my spine is out next week. It was understand that chiropractic unlike other medical treatment for stiff neck, stiff shoulder, sports injuiry, etc is that is will find out the root problem of your condition and accordingly using bare hands to adjsut your spine back to its original position. If your spine is in wrong position, the nerves might be compressed which causes u to have migraine headache, stiff shoulders, sinus problem, etc. And as the if less untreated over a prolonged period, one side of your spine bone will loses its agility and rub against one another in your everyday movements which causes one side of the spine bone to wear off. That is why some people have got hunchback. Good thing is this can be corrected.

Chiropractic care in general is safe when employed skillfully and appropriately. It is also cost effective. I spent about S$100 for 2 consultations, and thereafter, per treatment will cost me S$75. Chiropractic treatments is not a long term process. Depending on your situation, 4-5 treatments within 2 months will be enough to cure u completely from inside out. I witness one Japanese man with his treatment and it seems to me that it was not pain as the man was still chatting with the doctor.

The celerities that attended were Jade Seah, Thomas Chan, Eunice Olsen, Paula Malai, etc. Most of the guests invited are the Media people including myself. Reporters were also there to take coverage of the event. The purpose of this fashion show is to set a trend in Singapore for the upcoming F1 night race. Being the first F1 race in Singapore, people may not know what to wear that is both comfortable and trendy to the event, hence PUMA Rev' Up Your Style provides a fashion idea to that. Even though my muscles ached much after the up & down Tree Top walk, but I am glad that I enjoyed the morning walk and the feeling of waking up early and feel the energized sun rays landed on your skin, really feels good. The best time to start the walk will be 6.30am-7.30am where the air is the freshest and the sun will not be too strong to make the walk tedious. Well, I will surely visit there again.

My Review:

My Memorable Tioman Trip [08/08 - 11/08]

Relax. Beach. Bikini. Sun. Fishing. Friendship. These are my conclusion for my Tioman trip. After 2 hrs of journey on the road, we continued on another 3hrs of boat ride and 30mins of bumpy up mountain 4-wheel ride! Through the up mountain 4-wheel ride, I passed by tall trees with skinny trunks. The air was so fresh that it penetrates my skin and harmony as one. The beach that I will be residing for the next 3 days is called Juara Mutiara. I was blown away by the magnificent ocean and sandy beach. When I walked bare foot on the beach, the sand felt like marshmellows mixed with jelly beans on my foot- soft, tender and sweet. On the second day, we decided to go fishing & made some fishermen friends! I caught my first fish during my first attempt! Adrenaline flows through my entire body and I felt excited & scared at the same time. I also went snorkelling, well only for a brief >1min. But at least I can understand why bee likes to go diving & snorkelling. Sometimes, we have to go through it ourselves in order to understand why your partner likes certain things that with u using your right mind to think, will come to no avail. I felt blessed to have bee in my life. During the trip, he took care of me, carried my big heavy bag, was patience with me when I am moody & entertains me when he was already so tired physically. THANKS bee. U r my hero! Well, the trip was indeed brought to its peak with the company of Max & Karen. They are awesome friends of bee! I am proud of them too! Look forward to our next adventure!

OH BTW! I just found out some facts about Tioman! Here it goes:

Tioman Island is the world 10th most beautiful island
It was used as setting for Hollywood musical movie entitled South pacific (Bai Hai) in the year 1953

According to the legend, the mystical of Tioman Island is resting of magical dragon princess who whilst flying from China to her beloved prince in Singapore, sought solace in the crystal waters of South China Sea. She was pleased with the charm surrounding and discontinue her journey and search for happiness in order to give pleasure and comfort to weary passing seafarers as well as providing shelter and refreshment to fisherman by turning herself into this beautiful island. (Well! this is definitely different from the version that one passer-by shared with us?? hmm)

Saturday, 2 Aug was a memorable day for me as I just received my Singapore Passport! 23/07/08, Wed was the official date I became a Singaporean citizen. Gone are the days whereby I need to apply for various visas for my travel. Yippee!!

Sher- one of my friend in CHC got married in July' 08, she's 24 this year. I attended her wedding and shed tears as I am very touched by them (the bride & the groom). I got to know the both of them before they started off in their relationship and now- getting married. The journey was long indeed. I remembered there was once, whereby a few of us went Kallang to play basketball, Sher & Alvin strolled in the court in a Navy couple top! I was amused then by how adorable this couple can be. And now when I looked back, it was actually very sweet. I wonder if they will continue the couple tops when they are in Sweden. Be blessed!

Self-Discovery

This seems this to be the ever big topic for all mankind. An issue that evolved and matured over time. Some found this valuable direction of their life along the way in their life while some lose it all the way in their life.

For me, i am discovering about myself every single day.

Sometimes i feel scared when things got out of hand. I felt insecure at times but do not know how to share. I had times whereby my esteem went dry to the pit. I cry alot and pretended that i am not & turn my back to wipe that mini fat tear.

Friends in life make me discover myself along the way. It suddenly came to me that when things happen in your life, is it either u take it or lose it.

Right now, this year 2008- i am seeking the security of my life. I hates the feeling of insecurity, guessing, manipulating... Perhaps i know afterall who is the "Rest" of my life.. He listens to me, he remembers me & never get tired of me sharing my thoughts, shares my incompetency in life, watching me cry with understanding in his eyes, he trusts me that i have got enough strength to pull through, he is someone that i will fall on should i fall one fine day. Hee, Just realized that i have not been putting inputs into my blogs for SO long!! Let me try to put everything down in words :)

I ended the year of 2007 very well.. Achieved many and lost as much.

Achieved:

- Education in my interested field of studies (Mass Communications)

- A loving BF (well not actually an achievement but a gift)

- A new job (Media Advertising Firm)

- Visited lots of places (HK, Shenzhen, Tokyo, Taiwan, Batam, etc), my insights and the view of the world definitely increased!

- New Friends

- Good family relationship

Lost:

- Friends, lots of them

(Any regrets? very much) My heart actually ache a lot when these people that i called friends are no long my best friends. I seems to lost them overnight. Initially, i felt angry with them for not being people i called friends then i slowly let go and allow time to heal my heart. Didn't actually share with others as i don't know anyone actually understands when they say they do. Gradually, i do not want to be related to them anymore. Well, i still love them but just like i love everyone else around me.

I celebrated our 1-Year anniversary with Bee. He's is a very thoughtful person. He brought me to a luxurious spa and a warmth dinner.

- Bee got me a iPHONE for my for V-Day. I was so so touched!! He really put in a lot of effort in getting his friend to buy from the US for me.

- CNY celebration was a memorable event as well. It was the first time bee met up with my whole family and relatives at my Ah Ma's place in Malaysia. He was sure well-liked by my parents :)

- Bee drive my family to the East Coast Park for a time of leisure! It was sure an awesome outing!
- My dad recovered!! My whole family rejoiced gladly, wholeheartedly! Thank God!

Why am i writing things down accordingly, because i am trying not to forget any of these valuable memories. Memories are so precious yet it doesn't cost a thing but took a lot out of the person to have a memory of their own.

I strongly believe that 2008 will be yet another fulfilling year for me! & everyone around me.

My mum is a simple woman.

She wakes up 5.30 am every morning to clean up the house.
30 mins later, she will go jogging with my dad.
30 mins again, she wakes my brother up and bring him to school.

Her leisure?
her radio - Love 97.2FM.
Her fave DJ is Billy.

Back to the clock, she needs to prepare lunch and dinner for the family.
3 times a day, she'd call my dad on the phone to encourage him, to motivate him.
She have been an awesome encourager for my dad.
Being an encourager, you got to be positive and believe tomorrow will be a new beautiful day.
There are times, an encourager gets a little weary.. mentally..

So she teared.

Positivism- A Choice?

Being positive i believe is a choice all of us have in our hands. One we have decided to be positive, our future life will be directed in that direction.

There are friends i know that are super negative, some who are super positve. The difference in their life can be seen significantly.

We all need to have positive people around us. I have many positive and cheery friends around me. There is this someone that is very positive in his view of life as well. He will always find opportunities to be happy, life greatest aim is to be happy. There are times whereby he will be upset, but after a short while he will pick himself up. Something i find courageous about him is that he CHOOSE to pick himsef up from dscouragement and not to be indulged in it. That by itself is a form of boldness and courage. While hanging out with him, i learnt a lot. Being happy, is by itself a choice.

You can give someone positive encouragement and positive feelings about themselves by using positive statements when talking to them. Try them on someone!

Hi all.. have not been posting for a long time.. Some things i find interesting.. Why the sky is blue?? Why the clouds are white.. Someone explained to me patiently the answer to my question.. Sometimes when one get busy with life, they tends not to take a good look at the inheritance of the nature that they have around them..

The nagging of parents sometimes will also seems like a tiresome thing that can ever happen to them.. Then i realized, this is what life is all about..
